To measure: wrap a soft tape measure snugly around your wrist just above the wrist bone. No tape measure? A strip of paper + ruler works too.
Yes. Iridelle uses natural mineral stone beads — the exact stone type varies by product (obsidian, tiger's eye, lava stone, turquoise howlite, etc.) and is specified in the individual product listing. They are not plastic or resin beads made to look like stone.
Stone colours carry traditional associations across many cultures, though these are cultural beliefs rather than verified properties. Black stones (obsidian, black tourmaline) are associated with grounding and protection. Blue stones (lapis, turquoise) are linked to calm and communication. Green stones (aventurine, jade) to prosperity and balance. Brown/gold stones (tiger's eye) to focus and confidence. Red or orange stones (carnelian) to energy and motivation. The meaning you take from a piece is personal — these associations are starting points, not rules.
Not recommended. Some natural stones are porous and absorb water, which can cause colour changes or structural weakening over time. Stones like howlite, lava, and selenite are particularly water-sensitive. Remove stone bead bracelets before bathing, swimming, or washing dishes.
There is no universal rule. In Western tradition, the left wrist is most common for bracelets. In some Indian and East Asian traditions, specific stones are associated with specific wrists based on energy flow beliefs. Practically, most people wear bracelets on their non-dominant hand so they are less likely to catch on things during daily activity. Wear on whichever wrist is comfortable for you.
Yes — stone beads have a natural, handcrafted quality that pairs naturally with kurta sets, sarees, salwar kameez, and festive wear. Earthy-toned stone bracelets (brown, black, terracotta) complement both bright festive colours and neutral everyday Indian wear. They also layer well with traditional gold bangles.
Both are strung on elastic cord and sized to fit similarly (unstretched diameter approximately 17 cm, comfortably fitting wrists 14–18 cm). Natural stone beads are heavier than glass beads — a stone bracelet will feel more substantial on the wrist. If you have a very slender wrist, stone bracelets may slide more than glass beads do.
